hey everyone,
so it's been a while since we've blogged so here's a fresh one to keep everyone up to date.
yesterday morning we finished our time in bongolo and took the long and dusty trail back to libreville. we experienced a few upset stomachs on the way but nothing major. please pray for our health as all this hard work and travel can take a toll on the mind and body.
so today we headed into a small fishing village and did what is called a medical caravan. we basically set up shop in the village chief's home and gave eye exams, took blood pressure, gave out medicine and played with tons of children. people came to faith today and we made a difference in the lives of many by showing them God's love.
fun fact, if you drive by a villagers house on the roadside and see dead gazelle's on sticks they are there in hopes you'll by them to eat. we did not do this :)
fred and i however did take a stroll into town tonight and have some chicken on a stick that was extremely good, this chicken was not haning out roadside it was prepared as we would in the states.
off to a church tommorow, could be 3 or 4 hours long as they don't have much regard for time here. this week we will be doing some building projects for that church and also going to an orphanage, our free days we'll head to a beach and then to a marketplace to buy gifts.
not sure if the next blog will come tomorrow or the day after, internet also works when it wants to in africa.
until next time,
aur revior
